Coaches & Parents -- all rain outs and make up games are rescheduled so please double-check the online schedule to see when your next games are. Please notify all players / parents of the new game times.

The NYAA has been invited to take place in Atlanta Braves' history. Friday, June 8th is NYAA night at Turner Field as the Atlanta Braves take on the Toronto Blue Jays. During a special pre-game ceremony, the Braves will retire John Smoltz's number 29 jersey. Game time is 7:35pm and the pre-game fesitivites begin at 7:00pm. In addition to the game and retirement ceremony, there will be a post-game fireworks display.

Outfield pavillion seats will be available for purchase for $26 and upper box seats will sell for $18. Tickets can be purchased through all head coaches and tickets can be sold to friends, family, and anyone interested in attending.

Also a special prize from the NYAA will be given to the player that raises the most money. NYAA will present the player with the most sales with an Apple Ipad and the team within each age divison that raises the most money will be treated to a special pizza party sponsored by Papa John's. More information including order forms will be distributed later this week.

As we enter the last month of the spring season, please do a SCHEDULE DOUBLE CHECK as there have been a few changes made due to team reschedule requests. Unless there are rain-outs, the posted schedule should not change again in May.

Coaches: You can pick up pictures for your players who ordered photo packages from Laura Payton on Tuesday or Thursday at 7 pm on Field #4. These are for players who ordered photo packages on Opening Day. Only coaches will pick up and distribute to their teams.

Spring Break and CRCT are over and we resume the second half of the 2012 NYAA Spring Season today with a full schedule of games for all teams this week with little chance of rain. Play ball!

Tournament play returns to Newnan with a USSSA sanctioned event April 21-22. NYAA will be hosting the event with teams from all over Georgia and surrounding states participating. If you're team is interested in getting some tournament experience, click on the TOURNAMENTS link at the top of this page for more details.

Starting Tuesday March 20th and every other Tuesday throughout the season it's NYAA Day at the Waffle House next to the ball park. Any family with one NYAA player in uniform get's a 10% discount off their check and the NYAA get's a donation equal to 20%! Spend $25 -- you save $2.50 and the NYAA get's $5.00!! Before your game, or after stop in for a good deal for everyone!

Everyone should now be able to view their own "Team Page" from their NYAA logins. From the "Home" tab, look under the "Actions" column and you will see 4 icons. First for uploading team pics, second icon to view "Team Home Page" and third icon to send email to all team members and once the regular season schedule is done, you can click on the "Calendar" icon to see your teams game schedule. When you click on "View Home Page" you will see a complete roster of your team along with your coaches names and contact information.

If you have a child playing in the league, you DO have an NYAA login. If you do not know your login, simply click on "forgot login" and your login credentials will be sent via email within seconds.

The game schedules for all divisions has been posted. Please click on the "Schedules" link at the top of the NYAA Home Page, then click on DIVISION (age group) you want to view. Please note that the schedule is subject to change from time to time due to rain-outs and coaches special requests. Be sure to refresh the online schedule and do not rely on what you may have printed out previously.

Coaches & Parents: Below is a simplified explanation of the upcoming bat restrictions effective January 1, 2012. Now is the time to share this information with your parents (before the holiday shopping season).

2012 USSSA Baseball Bat Rules Simplified... Effective January 1, 2012...the below rules pertaining to bats shall be enforced in age divisions 14U and younger without exception.

Big Barrel Bats (larger than 2-1/4 inches in diameter) - Only those big barrel bats made by approved USSSA licensed manufacturers that are either...

(1) Made with the NEW USSSA Mark (see image); or
(2) Is a qualified BBCOR bat; or
(3) Is Wood, shall be allowed in USSSA play.

Small Barrel Bats (2-1/4 inches in diameter) - Only those small barrel bats made by approved USSSA licensed manufacturers that are either...

(1) Made with the NEW USSSA Mark; or
(2) Made with the old USSSA mark; or
(3) Is Wood, shall be allowed in USSSA play.

Small Barrel Bat Comment: The above includes Tee Ball bats that are longer than 23 inches in length. Tee Ball bats 23 inches and shorter in length from approved USSSA licensed manufacturers will continue to be allowed without the NEW or Old USSSA marks.
